Chris Liddell Is Set To Leave GM

Reports say that General Motors finance chief Mr. Chris Liddell is set to leave the company. The 52 year old has a had a very short stint at GM having only joined last year. The former Microsoft employee is set to depart officially on April 4 bringing to an end a wonderful albeit short career at GM.

Liddell will be remembered for guiding the company through a record $23 billion IPO in the month of November last year. GM’s financial vice president and treasurer Mr. Morgan Stanley has already been lined up for the post that falls vacant in April.

Reasons for Liddell’s exit are still not very apparent however, it is clear that the decision was arrived at after discussions with the firms CEO Mr. Dan Akerson. Liddell was recently quoted in the press saying that it is time for him to move on and that he had achieved all that he had wanted to at GM.

Last year was the best year for GM in terms of profits since 2004. Despite his short stay, many stakeholders who saw the financial fortunes of GM turn during his tenure will surely miss him. Upon his arrival in 2009, many considered him as the perfect replacement for the then CEO Mr. Ed Whitacre.

Best Tips For Driving In The Rain

Hello,

All the time everyone ask me Joe, What is the best tips you can give us when driving in the rain. Well, i thought it was be a great idea to share it with all of you. I have a few easy steps to walk you through.

First thing,

Always always make sure that your tires are up to date. Older tires tend to have less treding which can led to a popped tire or a dangerous drive. Dont want to risk driving around with tires that are all ready to go. If you dont know anything about tires or how to check if there good take it to a local tire shop and let them take care of you.

Second,

When driving in the rain you dont ever want to speed. The rain causes roads to become slippery or not safe to drive in. So always use precaution. Please allow a few more car lengths when following someone. Make sure you defog your windows while driving and if you cant see in front of you please PULL OVER.

Third,

Make sure you that you always drive with some kind of light to let people know ahead of you that you are behind them. Heavy rain sometimes tends to make things seem there not there when they really are. Also, if you have no where to go driving in the rain wouldnt be the best idea to start looking for somthing to do. It is very dangerous and not very safe.

Is a Shammy better than a Rag?

I love taking my car to a car wash and following it through the washers as it takes its bath and refreshes itself. With a full clean inside and out and returned to me with its ultimate freshness. However, I dont always have $20-30 dollars to spend to get it washed and cleaned. I have to sometimes switch it up and wake up early on a saturday morning and give it a good wash. Why i bring this up you ask? What is my point? Well, I like to use the best products for my car. I wanna share with you the difference between using a Shammy and a rag or old t-shirt. Using a Shammy gives you the best touch for you car, leaves no scratches and is reuseable everytime needed. All you have to do is wash, rinse, soak, squeeze and reuse thats all. Using a rag can leave scrathes or leaves marks on the windows and sometimes even leave lint behind. Shammys are made in Germany with its 100% synthetic rayon material. It was made to last and to resuse. It works great for cars and even carpets and spills. It was made to absorb and soak up the problem before it becomes a issue. Pretty serious stuff huh? Don't believe me try it for your self and you be the judge!!!!

Why its so important to have oil in your car!

Ever wonder why the first thing you check is your oil when something goes wrong? Why you need it and whats its purpose? Well ima gonna tell you all about it as well as how to check it. When you have oil in the motor its basically the life on why it operates ( the blood as if were talking about a human body) Its very important to check your oil every few weeks to make sure that your vehicle does not run dry cause it can cause severe damage which can cost you hundreds and even thousands of dollars. When checking the oil you want to make sure that you are on a flat level area to make sure that your getting a proper reading. Once you grab the dipstick from the motor which is the leveler stick that shows you how much oil is in your motor. When you pull it out you wanna first grab a napkin or a rag and clean it so you can get a good reading. You wanna make sure its along the lines of it being in between the 2 dotted lines. Once you check it you will determine if you need it or not. If you dont know still i would reccomend taking it to a shop near by and have them take a look at it. You always wonder, What is a Cold Air Intake? Im gonna break it down for you to explain what it is and why its important to have one.

Cold Air intake is when the air flows in the motors engine bay and into the air intake to lower the tempeture to increase the power to make it more efficent for the motor to gain hp. They come in all shapes and sizes depending on what your looking for as far as looks and hp. It increases the torque and its also helpful with your fuel. It cleans the air and help it breath properly to function the proper fuel and air mixture. I think im gonna go by one.......
