INSTALLATION

Installation:
1. Load CD, Install the software of your choosing first , connect the ELM  into the car OBD2 socket under dash (Your car needs to be in ignition on position). Please note some of the softwares are demo and some freeware.


2.Take a note of the port number before the test (You should connect the ELM327 with your PC/Laptop or PDA via USB , then you will get the COM number).


3. When you connect the ELM327 with your Laptop, open the program, (If you encounter a problem -Interface is not found ) Go into the Scantool program [options] / [Communication] setting, set the COM port number to the COM Port number you noted, and set protocol to automatically detect, the baudrate is set to 38400 usually.


4. After thar you click the connect (Scantool program/connect) , if the test is successful you will see the connection chip ELM327 agreement then you could use this scanner.


Note:
1.Your car's protocol may be different because your car is from various countries and various manufacturers, you must confirm your car's protocol meets the requirements of the product before purchase. Some cars simply cannot work with ELM327.
2.This product requires a functioning USB port on your computer. If your computer has issues, this product will have issues connecting.
